I ended up ordering another eSim under a different email. I will be calling when I have time to cancel my first order and try and get a refund as I never received a QR code or call back.

So I did get clarification to my satisfaction on the original question and thought the issue was resolved, but received a text message a few months ago saying, "Due to a system error, you were receiving a monthly discount.... This discount will be removed starting 2/19/19. You will not be charged for any previously received discounts. For more information, see t-mo.co/FAQ1."

 

The issue is that someone went into my account and removed my Advantage Program discount. I still meet all the original qualifiers to receive the discount, my account has never lapsed, and I was reassured in the past that I would continue to be in the Advantage Program. My only guess is the new line in the FAQ saying, "Magenta/T-Mobile ONE plans aren't eligible for a service discount." It appears all available plans are Magenta or T-Mobile ONE plans.

 

Is getting the discount back possible, or is this a lost cause? It was only for a couple dollars a month, but it definitely made me feel like I was getting a little something extra.

This has been going on for a long time now. I don't get a lot of calls. I talk to people, they say they call me but I don't hear the phone ring. I don't even receive their voicemails. Sometimes I only get voicemails after they attempted to call me but my phone didn't ring. This is a HUGE problem. Is there anyone else having the same problem?

I had the same problem - took the phone to T-mobile to have it checked and fixed. 

 

I had the same problem and took the phone to T-mobile to have it checked and fixed.  I was told by T-Mobile that I had to have a new phone since my year-old phone no longer worked.  Even when I asked if it was a service problem I was told that it was NOT a service problem but a phone problem.  I trusted the “experts” at T-Mobile and purchased a new phone when all that was needed was to check the service and correct a glitch.  Since we use the phone mostly when we near a wifi, I had no way of knowing the problem was not fixed until we tried using it when away from a wifi signal.   One day we used the phone when away from wifi and had the same problem; I called T-Mobile tech support and the problem was immediately spotted as a service glitch and fixed right then.  The tech support person advised I was outside the 14-day no questions return window, but notated in the file the problem was not the old phone, but the service plan glitch.  I tried to return the phone the following day; however, I was told that no one could refund the price of the new phone.  This is HORRIBLE customer service since a new phone was NEVER needed – a prime example of customer price gouging and prizing the money over the customer!

Yes it's an older phone but I'm takling about systemic stability issues. The camera takes 5 seconds to open and then another 5 to take a picture. Continual crashing of the OS.  The systemic stability issues started before the repair and I've wiped the device and if I could roll back to the original OS I would. This is T-Mobile fault of a very poor implementation of the OS and patches to the device.

Seriously?? I'm a moderator on the Motorola support forum and I have not heard of this. I'm curious as to where you found this information. I will send this comment over to the support management to look into this though.

It used to be that T-Mobile US phones would work with SIM's from other T-Mobile franchises. I haven't seen an update on this subject in some years.

If your phones are paid off, you can get them unlocked for any SIM. If not you might be able to request a temporary unlock for foreign SIMs. Call 611 and ask.

Hope this helps.  My daughter moved to Wales last fall and took her IPhone 7 with her and her UK Sim purchased from EE worked right off the bat!  It was a phone purchased from Verizon, don't remember if they had to unlock it - but the UK Sim card worked fine!!

I recently bought a iPhone 8+ from this lady and she didn’t tell me it was Locked to T-Mobile and didn’t pay her bill. can I use it? I’m with metro by the way

After reading the original post, Apple doesn't do temporary unlocks of their phones only Android does that.

Like I said,  he works in the tech industry so why didn't he update to the carrier standard last year when Tmobile implemented it?

 

He had to know about it.

What has happened to trip history in the SyncUp upgrade? I can export it, but cannot access the trip history maps. Support stopped responding after I comfirmed that my phone and iOS were compatible.

Unable to get this phone to work with my security camera.  I had no problem with my android when I was with Verizon.  Switched over to Tmobile and LG thin q 8 I cannot view cameras when wifi is turned off or when I am away from home.  I called tmob but they are not aware of any reason.  I am sure this is a tmob problem.  After ready the above thread I have a big problem with this phone.  Just need to find the fix.

I'm on a family plan and for work purposes I need to break down the family plan per line. So under my number I need to be able to show how much I pay per line, and equipment combined. Is there any way to do so?
