Re: Very poor coverage

Those bands are not really any of T-Mobiles and none of their LTE.  While they list 850 that frequency is in very few markets, there most common LTE bands are 2 & 4 (including 66 which is an extra download only channel on Band 4).  It has zero of their low-band 700 (12) nor 600 (71) which only their newer phones support.

Here is the link below that goes over all their frequencies/bands.  Note for band 4 you need both 1700 & 2100 as that band uses 1 for up and 1 for down so even though your list here shows 2100 it wouldn't be supported.  The best way to ensure compatibility is purchase a T-Mo branded phone or an unlocked version from the manufacturer that sells devices on TMO's network.

Re: Tower upgrades

On the Twitter feed from Mr. Neville Ray ,CTO T-Mobile , today states that uprade to towers have happened in select cities in the United States.   When enquiring out the tower upgrades for Erie, Pa. the rep said three towers were upgraded, however the tower two blocks from my house was not.   The rep said this tower is weak and can’t penetrate houses?

Maybe you can talk to the Corporate Tower Engineering team and see why they will not make this usable.

So I noticed something interesting. When you click on the WAN port (Network -> Network map -> WAN) my T-Mobile LTE Gateway shows a private IP of 192.0.0.2.  That's a double-NAT, which is probably further complicated if you put a wireless device behind the gateway that is also NATing.

I discovered this while troubleshooting my inability to publish my PLEX media server to the Internet. It told me I had double-NAT when I was connected to my Google WiFi, and it said I STILL had double-NAT when I connected to the T-Mobile gateway.  I think that's why putting any router connected to the device in its own DMZ doesn't change the behavior.

Did they ever respond to you?   I got a vague answer that basically sounded like it was the carriers fault and not Motorolas

Tap “Forward to” and enter the number in the prior step, whether it's the voicemail number from *#67# or the disconnected number.

Good morning, mceachernrj!

Were you able to activate the other eSIM? I also second what Chris mentioned above about getting your refund for the previous eSIM.

Store forgot to add my trade-ins

About a month ago, I made the switch from Verizon. I traded in 5 Samsung phones to get new Pixel phones. They said that they pay me the trade-in value up front and then add a promotion to split the rest of the trade-in promotion over 24 months.

About 3 weeks later, a T-Mobile rep called me to check on everything and she discovered that the store did not add the promotion to the account. She told me I had to go back to the store to get it added. I went over the weekend and talked to the people at the store. They found out that the promotion expired the day before I came in so they could not add it. He said he would e-mail to the higher-ups to get an answer on this. It has been over a week and no information yet.

Why would they be able to go through the whole process, confirm the promotion to me, take my phones and proceed like nothing was wrong.

If the rep did not call me, it would have taken a few bills to realize I never got my trade-in promotion, which would have been very disappointing.

Can anyone at T-Mobile help?

While the cell service is better than Verizon for me, this has left a bad first impression for me.

Hey rosegold1958

Are you talking about seeing this information in the .csv after it is exported?

Thanks for the update! Which site are you referring to? Have you tried backing up through iTunes as gramps28 suggested?

I've had the same issue for the last couple of months on my Galaxy 9.  Called Tech  Support and seemed to fix it on the call, but then the next day it was back again.  Now I've given up and am just calling Voice Mail (which I hate).  The Tech guy said they just got a new third party Voice Mail provider and there were issues integrating between them and Visual Voicemail.  Hopefully they are working on it.  Obviously it's still not working.

No, I can export the trip history, but it does not give me the information I need (route, maximum speed, rapid accelerations, etc.).  I am unable to access trip history within the app (as I could before the "upgrade"). I do not know if the new timeline feature is like the old trip history, because it just crashes when I try to access it.

We can do that You will just want to activate the new ESIM line and then give us a call to port your existing number to the new ESIM. Please know that if the plan you are on currently is no longer available, you will not be able to have that plan on the ESIM line.

Hi,

I'm on a family plan and for work purposes I need to break down the family plan per line. So under my number I need to be able to show how much I pay per line, and equipment combined. Is there any way to do so?

Oh no that's rough, but we wanna make sure you can use the service. Is this happening at a specific area? Do you have at least 2 bars of signal? A good place to start is using our Can't make or receive calls troubleshooting steps.

Ouch, that's just terrible. Sorry this happened to you. Have you spoken with the post office about this? Did you get an email or some digital notification about the device being missing from the insurance company? Might be worth reporting that to the post office and using that as leverage.

Reporting website bug

Hello,

I can't figure out how to report a website bug, and customer support directed me here, so here we go.

Today is 6/22/2019 and my account had the warning banner below, which says I have an outstanding balance from the future (7/11/2019). I believe this should have been 6/11/2019.

Context

  • My bills are normally due on the 11th, with autopay taking them out on the 9th
  • T-Mo made changes to my autopay last month that caused some kind of issue on your end and autopay didn't process. I addressed this with support today, so this isn't a billing question. They confirmed that the error was your system failing to process for some reason, but couldn't explain why. This is likely what triggered the banner below, since I did have a balance that was due 6/11 and didn't get paid because of the autopay issue.
  • The autopay failure might be related to the banner bug, but I'd guess it's more likely an unrelated bug where the banner inserts the due date for current charges rather than outstanding charges.
  • Edit: The banner went away after resolving the payment that was due 6/11.

Hope this helps!
